makes you look like a model
dudee 'the hair! long, dark brown, curly, long bangs (not sure if she wants to grow them out or not)
oh em gee, those eyes! medium size, brown
geez, look at those tats! just ears pierced
gawd, skinnyy...! thin, around 115 lbs
wowee, hott stuff!
Anabelle's figure is slim, though not athletic. Dancing for years has kept her thin, but she has never enjoyed sports, so her body is not muscular. Anabelle weighs approximately 115 pounds. She stands about 5'3, which is fairly average for a girl of her age. Anabelle has eyes that are brown in color. People say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and for Anabelle at least, that statement is fairly correct. Her feelings are clearly expressed through her eyes: happiness, anger, sadness, everything. She has a tough time concealing her emotions, for they are displayed clearly on her face, and more specifically, in her eyes.
Anabelle is a fairly pale girl. With such light skin, she burns easily in the sun. She does tan every so often, however usually time spent in the sun burns Anabelle's fair skin. Because of her light skin, when Anabelle blushes, it is very noticeable. And unfortunately, she blushes often. The pink in her cheeks appears almost every time someone compliments her. Anabelle has a heart-shaped face, with a small nose and lips that are not too thin, and neither are they too full. Her ears are small, and she has thin eyebrows.
Anabelle's hair is a common shade of dark brown. Her hair style is sometimes reflective of her mood in the morning. If she's in a good mood, Anabelle will curl it or put it up, making sure it looks almost perfect. Her hair is sometimes in curls or waves, because after she showers Anabelle scrunches her hair. She has long bangs that she sometimes pulls back in a clip or pushes to the side, but usually she leaves them as they are.
Anabelle spends little time in front of the mirror every morning. She doesn't like to spend much time pampering herself except for on rare occasions. She wears a bit of make-up each day, but mostly only a little eye make-up. Anabelle's dressing style is very casual. She enjoys dressing up and looking pretty, but most of the time she is happy wearing comfortable clothes. She wears skirts, jeans, or shorts. Whatever she is in the mood to wear she will put on. She is often caught simply wearing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of sneakers or flip-flops, because she loves to be comfortable. She tries to look nice when she can, but can't stand wearing anything too uncomfortable. The only shoes she enjoys wearing are a pair of old sneakers or flip flops. Anabelle's absolute favorite outfits are costumes that she wears when she performs when acting or dancing. Each costume is so different from the others, and Anabelle likes the uniqueness of each costume.
you're 'okay nice!

eh, i hate! playing sports, bugs, rejection, embarrassment, not knowing what to say when meeting new people, how red her cheeks get when embarrassed, when others are in pain, school, homework, certain cartoons, being alone at times, feeling inferior, soup, her shyness, swimming in lakes
i always do that thing! taps her feet when she's bored (often times she repeatedly does dance steps to a song in her head), averts her eyes when someone talks to her, blushes whenever someone she doesn't know very well talks to her
wow! you scared me! being alone, meeting new people, embarrassment, rejection
i wish i may, i wish i might! become a famous dancer or actress, dance/act on broadway, get into a good college, get married
sweety, you don't know the half of it!
• shy (mostly)
A person's first reaction upon meeting Anabelle could quite possibly be that she is shy. She certainly is, at least around most people. Anabelle does not enjoy meeting new people, because she does not know how to act around them. She shies away from anyone she does not know well. This is often difficult when she wants to make friends, but it is simply the way she is. Anabelle has done better at speaking openly around others, that is, when she is spoken to first and only enough so that she can say something around them. Not so much that she is able to really open up to them. Anabelle has always been a shy, even as a young girl. Her sisters are more outgoing than she is. They are willing to talk to others and meet new people, whereas Anabelle would rather spend time with the people she already knows.
• open/outgoing (sometimes)
Around her twin and close friends, Anabelle feels at ease, and can be herself. She is, around those she feels comfortable with, a fun person. She loves to laugh and talk with her friends. She does not feel as if they will judge her actions, for they know her and have already made their judgements. And it usually appears to Anabelle that their judgements were good ones. When Anabelle is on stage dancing, she is a completely different person. She is outgoing and willing to take risks for her passion. Anabelle loves dancing, and she does not let her shyness ruin the few times each year she has to dance on stage.
• reserved
Even around her friends, Anabelle does not always say what is on her mind. If there is something she wishes to talk about, but does not want to bring up herself, she will hint about it as best she can, hoping someone else will ask about what is on her mind. Anabelle simply does not feel comfortable talking about herself unless asked. She feels as if she is self-centered when she talks about herself, and so she avoids talking about herself. The few times she does wish to talk about what is on her mind, Anabelle cannot bring it up on her own. She feels awkward, and instead waits for someone else to bring up what she is thinking about.
• regretful
Anabelle's biggest regret is that she spent so many years being shy and reserved, and now she has only a few years left of high school, and even fewer years left at camp. For years, from the time she was a little girl to her last year of middle school, Anabelle followed her twin around. She was thankful to always have her as a friend, but she took advantage of the fact that she would always be there for her, and never thought about making friends of her own. Sure, she had other friends who her sister did not hang out with, but the majority of her friends were the kids her sister was friends with. Now, Anabelle is still close to her twin, and she has friends of her own, but she still regrets the days she spent sitting away from other kids. She wishes she had not been shy and timid, for if she had been at least a little more outgoing, she may have made more friends before high school, where she is finding it much more difficult to start friendships.
• hopeful
Anabelle wants to become a famous dancer, or actress. Performing in Broadway musicals would be the ultimate dream for her, but if she succeeds in finding a career in dancing or acting, she will be happy. She wants to graduate from High School, and go to a good college. Keeping her close relationship with her twin is very important to Anabelle. She is her best friend, and if she lost that connection with her sister, Anabelle would be devastated. Though she is not as dependent on her twin as she once was, she is the only person Anabelle can feel completely herself around, for she knows she will always be there for her. Anabelle's life goals are not much different from her ambitions, for she does not want too much in life. At least, only certain goals are specific.
• good sister
Because of her reserved nature, Anabelle has few close friends. Sure, during her years in Junior High and her first year in High School she has met other students and befriended some, but there are only a couple of people whom she can call true friends. Therefore, she only opens up to those few people, and her siblings. She has a stronger bond with her twin than with anyone else, and she wants to keep it that way. Anabelle is always worried that she and her sister will eventually drift apart, because she has many friends, few of which are Anabelle’s friends as well. If that happens, Anabelle will be almost alone. Her twin is the one person she can fully trust, and she tells her everything. The two spend hours together, sitting and talking about anything and everything. Anabelle has never shared that kind of connection with another person.
• family oriented
Anabelle loves spending time with her family. She could not ask for a better family to be a part of. She respects her parents and grandparents greatly, and she looks up to her older half sister, Lauren. Then, as mentioned, there is her twin sister. Anabelle adores her twin, and is thankful that she is always there for her. She could not imagine having a different sibling. She does not judge Anabelle, and the two of them get along so well. Her twin is her best friend. Anabelle loves her family and her life as it is, but she wishes she could break away from certain aspects of her life. She does not want to be the timid girl who follows her twin around any longer. She wants to be her own person, however she is unsure of who she is. She wants to discover who she is, because she knows that the shy girl she spent her life being is not who she is meant to be, at least not completely. She does not want to spend the rest of her life like this. However, she is afraid of distancing from her family, and most importantly her twin. She wants to be her own person and change, but if that change includes her attitude towards her family, Anabelle is not sure if she still wants to change.
• sweet
Anabelle is a very sweet girl. She cares for others greatly. Anabelle is constantly worried about others. She wants them to feel happy and safe at all times. Anabelle will go out of her way to help a friend, and if someone she does not know truly needs her help, she will give her help to the person. Anabelle loves animals. She has considered becoming a vegetarian several times, her parents have convinced her that she does not know alternatives to eating meat, for now she eats as little meat as possible. When Anabelle sees that someone or something is injured or in trouble, she does her best to help out. She does not like to see others in pain or suffering; it makes her feel terrible.
• dedicated
Anabelle is determined to have a career in which she can dance, whether it be a professional dancing career or some sort of acting or musical career. Anabelle has been a dancer her whole life; it is who she is. She has decided that no matter what her path in life is, she will not give up dancing. It means too much to her to give up her years of dancing. Anabelle's goal is to become a dancer or an actress. Dancing is her passion, and she loves acting. She has often considered Broadway musicals, so she can dance, act, and sing. That would be her dream career. Of course, Anabelle wants to survive High School and graduate with good grades. And she wants to go to a decent college, perferrably one with a good Dance or Drama major.
• fearful
Anabelle fears rejection. She was always afraid of what others thought of her, and so she kept herself by her twin as much as she could. She knew that her sister would never abandon her, and because she would always be her friend, Anabelle knew that she did not have to worry about making other friends. But she was afraid of their opinions of her, and how they would see her. For that reason, she kept her relationship with her twin strong. She never judged her. Anabelle's fear of rejection is also connected to performing. If someone ever told her that she was a terrible dancer or actor, Anabelle would possibly throw away her dream. She does not take rejection well. Though she knows there are others out there who are better than her, Anabelle does not want to be told that she is bad.
you're 'kinda messed up!

back in the day!
Young Lauren Martinez had never been a disobedient child, until her mother died when the small girl was only five years old. The twenty-three year old Rebecca Martinez had been sick for less than a year before she passed. She and her husband Nicholas had been young when they'd had their first child, Nicholas only nineteen and Rebecca only eighteen. They had married shortly after they had found out Rebecca was pregnant with Lauren. After his wife's death, Nicholas was devastated, but he learned to cope with her death. He and his daughter moved not too far away, but out of the house they had lived in as a family. Sending Lauren to a new school, Nicholas believed he could help her deal with her mother's death. However, the way Lauren dealt with Rebecca's death was by acting out any time she was away from her father. In school, she could not behave herself and eventually earned a meeting with her teacher and her father. Nicholas was upset with his daughter, and met with her teacher, a Ms. Daynes.
Emilia Daynes was a twenty three year old Kindergarten teacher. She was a kind woman, and wanted to help her young student behave properly around her classmates. Nicholas and Lauren's meeting did not help much with Lauren's attitude, but a few weeks later, Nicholas and Emilia began dating. Lauren's attitude changed for the worst at this. Even at such a young age, she was furious that her father could find someone to replace her mother so quickly. Within a year, Nicholas and Emilia married, and shortly after, Emilia found that she was pregnant.
Lauren was finally comfortable with Emilia (not as a step-mother, but as a friend), when she was told that she would have a younger brother or sister within several months’ time. Lauren, though not as angry with her father as she had been before, was not pleased with the thought of her father having another child to love. What if he forgot about her, like he did with Rebecca? The six-year-old did not know what would happen if her father spent all of his time with his new wife and child. She could not handle the thought of losing another parent. Her disobedient manner had faded, but with the coming of a younger sibling, the chance of it returning was better than before. Anabelle and her sister were born on November 4th, Anabelle arriving just a few minutes after her twin sister. Their half sister Lauren was eight years old at the time. Maybe the difference in age was what helped Lauren adjust to having the twins in the family.
The family lived in Connecticut, and did not travel too far too often. With Lauren having been born while Nicholas was very young, the family held off on too many family vacations to save money for Lauren to go to college. Much of Emilia's family resided in Massachusettes, so the Martinez’s saw a great deal of her side of the family. Anabelle was happy to be able to spend time with her cousins, for they were family, and Anabelle did not feel very nervous or shy around them. Nicholas's family was spread out, but the Martinez’s saw his side of the family once in a while, even though Anabelle did not feel as comfortable around them as she did with her mother's side of the family.
Anabelle and her twin sister were very close. When the twins were twelve, Lauren was already twenty. They did not see their sister very often, and so they formed a closer relationship as they grew older. From the time they were young children, Anabelle and her sister were almost inseparable. They were best friends, and almost no one could pull them apart for too long. The twins did almost everything together. Though Anabelle had some of her own friends, most of the kids she spent time with were her sister's friends. The twins were in the same classes in elementary school and middle school, and eventually some of the same high school classes. After a while, though, Anabelle’s sister grew annoyed at her need to be beside her.
Probably around the time they began middle school, Anabelle’s twin started feeling as if Anabelle should make more of her own friends, and leave her alone. She loved her sister dearly, but she felt bad whenever Anabelle sat aside and simply watched the rest of them have fun. She was cautious as to not hurt her, for Anabelle was very sensitive and she was unsure of how she would take her wanting Anabelle around her less. When she advised Anabelle to make new friends so that she could hang around people who had the same interests as her, Anabelle was a bit taken aback. She was not used to her sister pushing her away, for she had never done so before. She had always been right beside her twin, and she had never before seemed to mind that she was always around. After thinking about it for a bit though, Anabelle realized that she did spend too much time with her twin.
Anabelle's first year of high school started out rather terrifying for her. She was a small freshman in a school filled with students from grades nine to twelve. Without her twin around, Anabelle didn’t know what to do. She didn’t really know how to talk to others, and though she had friends, Anabelle did not know anyone in a few of her classes. The classes in which she didn't talk to anyone she dreaded. After the first week or so, some of the other students in her classes began talking to her. Gradually, Anabelle began making friends with the other students in her classes. When Anabelle got involved with school performances and such, she began making even more friends. Anabelle had always loved dance, as well as acting and singing. One of the only things she had done without her twin beside her was take dance classes, though she did not talk to the other girls in her dance classes. But when she came to high school, and she participated in the school's performances, Anabelle loosened up. She didn't shy away from others. Her new openness didn't last long away from the auditorium, but Anabelle was happier than she had ever been. She was certainly becoming more outgoing, for she was able to talk to others outside of the auditorium, though she sometimes felt nervous and shy around others.
Anabelle's favorite memory was her performance in her dance school's recital when she was five years old. It had not been her first performance, but it was the first recital she participated in that she remembered the best. She had been in two dances- acrobatics and tap- for she was young and only certain classes were available for young dancers. She remembered the thrill she felt on the stage, dancing in front of dozens of families. Since then she has participated in many recitals and performances, however Anabelle has not been able to remember a time when she felt as excited and thrilled to be on stage. Each performance she participates in is very exciting for the girl, but Anabelle only assumes that the few recitals before the one she was in when she was five left her feeling more excited than that one.

Bailee Ainsworth
oh it's another rainy day
the sun isn't out to scare the dark away
step outside to try to wash you away
oh it's another rainy day
______________________________
Bailee should have expected a collision like this; after all, she had yet to fall while wearing the skates. Bailee was known to trip on her own feet, sometimes even while she was not wearing shoes. She was the girl who would fall down, and even up, the stairs at school, and hurry to snatch up her scattered books while her face reddened. She had even once or twice lost her shoe in the process, which was twice as embarrassing for she then had to walk down the stairs to retrieve her shoe. Worse was when others would ask her if she was alright, because by then all she wanted was to rush to class to hide her bright pink face. Luckily she didn't lose one of her shoes, or skates, this time, but this fall was still pretty embarrassing.
Just like the times she fell in school, Bailee's face began to turn a bright shade of pink. She wished that she could have accidents like this and feel less embarrassed about them. For nearly any other kid, skating into someone would be no big deal. Two minutes to stand up and apologize and they'd be on their way. Not Bailee. She had to avoid eye contact and attempt to apologize, but fail miserably. Her shyness made everything worse, for she was too shy to really talk to the boy who was trying to apologize to her now. What could she be afraid of? She didn't believe she knew him. Maybe she had passed him in the halls at school, but she usually looked towards the floor as she walked about school and didn't notice others. So the chances of her meeting up with him again were slim, and even if she did happen to cross his path in the future, he probably would not bring this fall up, or try to embarrass her again. At least she didn't think he would. Yet she still felt scared and terrified.
She tried to keep her eyes away from his face, to avoid his gaze, but Bailee couldn't help noticing that he was cute. She turned her eyes towards the floor, afraid to look into his eyes, for her face would surely redden even more if she did. This only made the situation worse for her. Because now she felt twice as embarrassed. Even though he did not seem like the type of guy she would normally like, she was still scared of him thinking of her as clumsy or a geek. Part of her wished he would go away so she could continue to skate in silence, angry with herself for being careless and making a fool of herself in front of the guy and everyone else around.
As stated, Bailee normally disliked when people asked her if she was alright after taking such a fall. But she could see the concern in his face, for it was obvious. It must have been very obvious that he felt bad for skating into her, for if it wasn't clear enough in his expression she would not have known. Bailee was not good at reading people by their expressions or the look in their eyes. Sure, she could tell if a person was mad, upset, or happy, and there were some other emotions that were so aparent in one's expression that she could not missit. However she could not always tell how a person felt. She could not understand how some people could catch that tiny bit of saddness in a seemingly happy face.
But she was fairly certain that his look of regret was genuine. At least she hoped so. She did not want to be wrong, and make an even bigger fool of herself. She continued to look at her skates as she talked. "Yeah, I'm sure. I'm fine. Bailee thought about what she had just said. Was she hurt? Maybe a bit bruised from hitting the ground, but nothing terrible. Maybe tomorrow she would be a bit sore, but she was fine for the moment. "You're not annoying. Please don't worry about me." Bailee wasn't entirely sure why he was so concerned about her. After all, it had been her own fault. Even if he was a bad skater, she had been the one listening to music, not paying attention, and skating in the wrong direction. It didn't seem fair for him to be so concerned about her.
She was glad for the help standing, but when the boy lost balance and she fell towards him again she felt terrible once more. For one thing, she did not want to cause him any more trouble. She felt bad enough for hitting him. Second, she landed right against his chest. She backed away as quickly as she could while wearing skates, embarrassed and worried that he would be angry or creeped out in any way. "It's alright," Bailee mumbled in response to his apology. But the second the words left her mouth he was back on the floor. He had fallen again. It seemed that he was as graceful as she was. A small smile formed on her lips, but she did not want to laugh at him for falling, so she did her best to hide the smile. She wondered whether or not she should attempt to help him back up, but he used the wall to help stand himself upright again.
Kristi Yamaguchi? It took Bailee a moment to think about who he was talking about. When she remembered that Kristi Yamaguchi was a famous figure skater, Bailee wished to make some clever remark in response, but could not think of anything. Instead she smiled softly. He wanted to make up to her for this. What did he mean by that? Bailee wasn't sure, but she did not want to turn him down. He already appeared to feel bad for hitting her. She did not want to disappoint him by asking him to leave. But she did not know how to accept his offer without sounding stupid in her mind, so she quietly said, "You don't have to go. But make up for this? How?
